The Daughter of the North's Garden
Discover Edith as a jewelry designer. Where does Edith draw her inspiration, and how are the jewelry designs of Daughter of the North created
When I design my jewelry, I look close by: into the forest’s shade, the colors of berries, and the delicacy of flowers. The same nature that reveals itself in the small details of my jewelry also grows all around me, in my own garden. This abundance of blossoms is no coincidence, but a continuation of the same creativity and sense of aesthetics that guide my design work. Every planted flower, color combination, and form language in the garden is intentional: a little wild, yet each element in its own place, just like in my jewelry.
Over the years, my garden has grown into a quiet atelier: a place where ideas can gently sprout. Many of my pieces have been born right here, while watching nature work its magic. My jewelry ideas do not come to life clinically at a desk; they are born as I step outside, surrounded by all this beauty. The same creativity that guides my hand in planting also guides my hand in shaping jewelry.
When my designs take shape, I create from my own true world: from where the forest, the light, and the flowers whisper softly. And I am there, listening, interpreting, and shaping it into something of my own.
Something that speaks in the same language that nature whispers to me.
