From jewelry gifts to a growth company
Entrepreneurs association wrote an article about the growth story of Daughter of the North: ‘Founded in Kajaani in 2022, Daughter of the North Oy was originally created as a side project. One of the entrepreneurs, Edith, made jewelry as Christmas gifts for loved ones, and soon people on Instagram began asking whether the pieces could be purchased.’
“Four years later, in addition to the entrepreneur couple, the company employs two staff members. Jewelry sales rely heavily on the online store, and the products are also available at trade fairs and through around 30 retailers across Finland."
